Friends of Spackman-Davis Farm

The historic gem of Caln Township, PA

Our Mission

Friends of Spackman-Davis Farm is a 501c-3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to restore, protect, preserve, promote, and celebrate the historic resources and cultural landscapes of historic Spackman-Davis Farm in Chester County, PA through fundraising, events, and communication.

Restoration

Work has begun on restoration of Farmhouse floors on the west side of the building that had been damaged by a flood. Thanks to your generous donations, FOSDF is able to fully fund the repair work. This is our first joint project with the Township who are covering costs of project inspections.

Completed Projects

We are actively working with the Twp. to restore the 1757 farmhouse. A new roof and porch are in the works. Once the roof is in place we plan to repair the floors and replace windows and shutters where needed.

Thanks to the drive of the Caln Township Historical Commission, the support of the Caln Township BOC and residents, Public Works, and sweat equity from volunteers including Parks & Rec, since 2022 many major projects have been completed bringing Spackman-Davis Farm closer to being the passive recreation/historic destination we envisioned

Electricity has been restored to parts of the 1757 farmhouse and will soon connect to the 1804 bank barn.
